Target Oxbridge History workshop at Hertford College

In collaboration with St Peter’s College, Oxford

Oxford University’s History Faculty, in collaboration with St Peter’s College Oxford, invites students in Year 12 to apply to take part in a Study Day on Race and Ethnicity. The study day is designed for students who are thinking about applying to study History at university and who would also like to learn more about what it’s like to be a black or minority ethnic student at Oxford.

Students will study with Oxford University’s tutors to find out about the latest exciting historical research. Three academic sessions will explore the changing meanings, impacts, and experiences of racial and ethnic diversity, over the last 1,000 years and across the world. Students will take part in a tutorial, enjoy a tour and lunch at St Peter’s College, meet current undergraduates, and participate in a workshop on applying to study history at Oxford, including the History Aptitude Test (HAT) and an example admissions interview.

The event is entirely free, and please let us know if you need assistance with travel costs. If you are a state school history teacher, you would also be very welcome to join us.
