Working on nostalgia within Urdu, Hindi, and English language histories of Lucknow c. 1870-1990. I hold a BA in History from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Lahore, Pakistan and a MA in South Asia Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
My research interests revolve around the themes of memory, Shi’ism, and diaspora particularly within print culture and popular imagination in Northern India and Pakistan. I am also interested in public history practices and have been a part of archival and oral history projects in Pakistan and the United States.
